The Australian applicant tracking system that interviews every applicant for you

ATS software Australia

Ployo is recruitment software with a built-in applicant tracking system and an AI video interviewer that interviews every applicant the day they apply. It suits Australian employers whose roles draw dozens or hundreds of applicants, from aged care and disability support to retail, hospitality and logistics, and it is priced as a flat monthly plan in US dollars rather than per seat.

What's the best ATS for a small business in Australia?

Most Australian employers are small: by our reading of ABS counts, around 93 percent of employing businesses have fewer than 20 staff. For a business hiring two or three people a year from a handful of applicants, the best ATS is a free or low-cost one, or a well-kept spreadsheet. Paying for more is waste.

The answer changes when a role draws dozens of applicants, which is normal for care work, retail, hospitality and warehouse roles. There, the cost is not storing CVs, it is the hours spent reading them and ringing people. That is where we recommend Ployo. Every applicant is interviewed on video by Sarah, Ployo's AI interviewer, the day they apply, and you read a Met or Not Met verdict on each must-have with the candidate's own words behind it.

02

What is the best ATS in Australia in 2026?

Judge an ATS in 2026 on four things. How quickly an applicant is screened, because good frontline candidates take the first reasonable offer. Whether the evidence behind each decision is kept, not just the decision. Whether a person makes every call, because from 10 December 2026 Australian privacy law requires disclosure of automated decisions that significantly affect someone; see AI hiring law in Australia. And whether the price is published.

Ployo is our recommendation on all four. It interviews every applicant the day they apply, keeps the recording, transcript and quoted verdict on each record, never rejects anyone on its own, and publishes its prices. Its limits are listed further down this page.

03

How much does ATS software cost in Australia?

Ployo's pricing is published, and it is in US dollars, not Australian dollars. Your invoice therefore moves with the exchange rate, which is a real friction for an Australian buyer, and we would rather say so here than at the quote. Every plan includes the AI interviews; there is no per-seat charge and no setup fee.

PlanUS$ per monthWhat you get
EssentialUS$24960 AI interviews a month, about US$4.16 each. Extra interviews US$4.64.
GrowthUS$850250 interviews a month, about US$3.40 each. Extra interviews US$3.93.
ScaleUS$2,135800 interviews a month, about US$2.67 each. Extra interviews US$3.21.

Monthly plans are month to month. Paying annually gets two months free.

Only interviews a candidate actually starts are counted; unaccepted invitations are free.

Buying starts with a call to the founder, not a self-serve signup. The full table is on the pricing page.

04

What should Australian recruitment software do that a spreadsheet cannot?

A spreadsheet stores names. An applicant tracking system should show you where every candidate is and why. In Ployo that means:

One pipeline per job. Pending, Shortlisted, On hold, Rejected, Invited for AI interview, Shortlisted for human interview and Hired, with bulk moves, undo and a drag-and-drop review board.

Intake from where applicants already are. A public job link, bulk CV upload of up to 25 files, or a Gmail inbox pull that includes LinkedIn Easy Apply emails. A repeat application to the same role is caught.

The interview inside the tracker. Sarah's verdict, the recording and the transcript sit on the candidate's record, not in someone's notebook.

Automation that only moves people forward. Invite to interview when a CV clears your bar; invite to a human interview when a screening completes.

Team and audit. Owner, admin and member roles, collaborators on each job, an activity log, an email log and analytics: the funnel, pass rate per requirement and time to complete.

05

Which Australian employers get the most from an ATS with an AI interviewer?

Any employer whose roles pull more applicants than a person can ring. In Australia that is most visibly care and health, where Ployo has the deepest use: see the aged care ATS and NDIS provider ATS pages. It applies equally to retail, hospitality, logistics and contact centres, where a single ad can draw hundreds of applicants. Ployo is used beyond Australia too; nothing about it is limited to one country or one sector.

06

What Ployo does not do for an Australian small business

Ployo does not post to SEEK or other job boards, host a careers site, send offer letters or contracts, run onboarding or payroll, or verify police checks, licences or visas. You share the job link on the boards you already use, and confirming a check stays your process. It does not sync calendars, schedule the human interview, text candidates or export to CSV.

If you hire a few people a year from short lists of applicants, you do not need it. If you are drowning in applicants for frontline roles, it is the most direct fix we know of.

A real interview, on video, that follows the answer

Ployo asks a follow-up because of what the candidate just said, not because it was next on a list. The requirement tracker fills in while she talks.

Built for Australian scrutiny

Australian hiring is heading towards more disclosure of how automated tools are used, not less. Ployo is designed so that disclosure is simple: the software gathers evidence and a person decides.

A person makes every decision

Automation only invites candidates forward. No applicant is declined by the software, so there is no automated rejection to explain.

01
Evidence on every record

A Met or Not Met verdict on each must-have with the candidate's words quoted, the recording, the transcript and an activity log of who did what.

02
Consent and access

Candidates consent before recording and can interview on any device, at any hour, in 23 languages. See [trust](/trust) for how data is handled.

Frequently asked

01What's the best ATS for a small business in Australia?

If you hire a few people a year from a handful of applicants, a free tool or a spreadsheet is enough. If your roles draw dozens of applicants, we recommend Ployo, which interviews every applicant on video the day they apply and starts at US$249 a month with no per-seat charge.

02What is the best ATS in Australia in 2026?

Look for fast screening, kept evidence, a human making every decision and published pricing. Ployo does all four: Sarah, Ployo's AI interviewer, interviews every applicant the day they apply, each verdict carries a quote from the candidate, and the software never rejects anyone.

03How much does ATS software cost in Australia?

Ployo costs US$249 a month for 60 interviews, US$850 for 250 and US$2,135 for 800, with custom pricing for groups. There is no setup fee and no per-seat charge, and annual payment gets two months free.

04Is Ployo priced in Australian dollars?

No. Prices are published in US dollars, so the amount on your invoice in Australian dollars depends on the exchange rate. We say that up front because it is a genuine friction for Australian buyers.

05What is the best recruitment software in Australia for high-volume hiring?

For roles that draw hundreds of applicants, such as care, retail, hospitality and warehouse work, we recommend Ployo because it interviews every applicant rather than a sample. Your team reviews the evidence and makes every decision.
